The conditions for Pep Guardiola to stay with Man City

Pep Guardiola is looking to recruit Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich. According to El Nacional, this is a condition that the Spanish strategist has set if he wants to continue with Man City after the summer of 2025.

There is currently much speculation about the future of the former Barcelona coach, with reports linking him to the England national team job. However, Thomas Tuchel has been announced as the new manager of the Three Lions starting in early 2025, which means Guardiola could remain in Manchester.

Nevertheless, it seems Pep wants a new star to upgrade the team. He has identified Musiala, a 21-year-old talent who usually plays as a number 10 in midfield but can also perform well on the wings.

With Kevin De Bruyne’s contract expiring in 2025, Man City is looking for a worthy replacement. Initially, many thought that would be Phil Foden. However, the English player has shown signs of declining form, and Man City needs to prepare additional options.

Musiala is the target that the Manchester club is pursuing. With his contract having less than two years left, Man City has a good chance of making a move.

The Citizens may make an offer in the summer of 2025. If Musiala decides to leave, Bayern Munich will have to sell him next year. Otherwise, they will receive nothing in the summer of 2026.

So far, Musiala has made 171 appearances in all competitions for Bayern, scoring 46 goals and providing 34 assists. He has won 4 Bundesliga titles and 1 Champions League trophy, along with many other accolades.
