The Sun recently reported positive news regarding MU center-back Leny Yoro. Specifically, Yoro’s recovery has entered a new phase as he has returned to training.
In MU’s latest training session at Carrington, Yoro was seen on the pitch for the first time since undergoing foot surgery, which is a promising sign for MU fans. However, the Old Trafford side has confirmed that the former Lille defender still has a lot of work to do before considering a return to competitive play.
Previously, Yoro shared a video on social media showing him training with resistance bands in the gym, accompanied by a short but optimistic message: “On the road to recovery.”
Yoro is a high-profile newcomer, having joined MU from Lille last summer for £52 million. Despite the significant investment, he has yet to make any contributions to his new team.
This is mainly because less than two weeks after arriving at MU, the 18-year-old, who stands at 1.90m tall, sustained a foot injury during a friendly against Arsenal. The issue was serious enough that the young French talent required surgical intervention.
MU confirmed that Yoro would need approximately three months to recover. Due to his extended absence, the Red Devils subsequently acquired two defenders from Bayern, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
