MU hopes to sell Antony at a reasonable price

Antony could soon be on his way out of Old Trafford as he has failed to prove his worth since the start of the new season. Currently, Manchester United is hoping to sell him for the highest price possible.

The Brazilian winger joined United from Ajax for £86 million in 2022, with high hopes of becoming a standout player at Old Trafford. However, he has not lived up to expectations, having scored just 12 goals and provided 5 assists in 86 appearances.

His contributions have not been enough to convince manager Erik ten Hag, leading to his frequent exclusion from the first team this season in favor of Amad Diallo and Garnacho.

As a result, United’s management is planning to sell Antony and is open to offers around £40 million as they look to minimize losses on the transfer. However, this figure may seem unrealistic given his current performance.

According to reports, Newcastle and Crystal Palace are interested in loaning Antony in the January 2025 transfer window, but this is not the type of proposal United is looking for.

Meanwhile, the former Ajax player is said to be considering leaving the Premier League, with Fenerbahce, managed by Jose Mourinho, keeping an eye on his situation. However, they cannot meet United’s financial demands.

Back at “Theatre of Dreams,” with injuries affecting the squad, Antony hopes to secure a spot in the starting lineup when the team faces Brentford in the 2024/25 Premier League.

This is a crucial moment for Antony to shine; the question remains whether he can deliver.
