In a conversation cited by Tribal Football, coach Frank de Boer shared his thoughts on Manchester United.
Discussing United’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, de Boer asserted that the players made too many mistakes. The former Crystal Palace manager stated:
“Man United looks like a team that is shaky in every position. They were completely overpowered by Tottenham, and I’m talking about being outclassed in tactics, quality, effort, and energy. Was there any aspect where they didn’t let Tottenham dominate?”
“I’m looking at the Manchester United players—one by one, they all made foolish mistakes. A lot of players made poor passes. I tried to count the number of significant errors in the first 45 minutes. In the end, I couldn’t even count them all with both hands.”
“I’m stunned by what I witnessed at Manchester United. It’s becoming increasingly clear how poorly they are playing when I look at how Tottenham built their play from the back, how they structured their game, always looking for an open player, showing bravery on the ball, and having the right strength in duels. It’s remarkable to see how their opponents can play like that.”
