In a statement on the club’s official website, Kai Havertz admitted that winning the Champions League with Arsenal would be an amazing feeling.
Havertz played a crucial role in Chelsea’s Champions League victory during the 2020/2021 season. Now, the German player is open about his ambition to replicate that achievement with his new club, Arsenal.
Speaking on the club’s website, he said: “That was a fantastic moment in my career, and it’s something I always think about. It felt amazing, but it would be even better if I could do it with Arsenal. It would mean so much more.”
“We know that it was difficult to progress far last season, especially when playing away in Germany. It wasn’t our best match, but I think we have matured, and now we are a year older. So I hope we can have a great season. There is still a long way to go, but I believe we are all ready.”
In the early hours tomorrow, Vietnam time, Arsenal will host Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates Stadium. After their draw against Atalanta, Mikel Arteta’s side hopes to secure three points at home in North London.
