Good news for MU as Tyrell Malacia could soon return to action. The Dutch left-back is expected to make his debut for MU at the end of October.
Malacia has not played since May 2023 due to a knee injury that required complex surgery. This means that this is the second consecutive season in which Malacia has not had an official match for MU. In his first season after joining from the summer of 2022, he played 39 matches for the club.
According to Goal, Malacia has returned to full training with his teammates and is nearly at his best, ready to play at the end of October. This is very positive news for coach Erik Ten Hag, as it provides him with another option at left-back, especially as MU faces a personnel crisis in that area.
Additionally, according to the Daily Express, Mason Mount has also returned to training after recovering from injury. The England international is ready to participate in the match against Brentford this weekend. Mount has only played 3 times in the Premier League 2024/25 due to a hamstring injury.
Mount’s return will give coach Ten Hag more options in midfield as MU is currently on a five-match winless streak. He may consider using Mount in the starting lineup against Brentford, aiming for all three points to improve their position in the standings.
Regarding MU, former center-back Raphael Varane recently shared his reasons for leaving Old Trafford in the summer of 2024 to join Como before retiring: “I once wanted to end my career at MU, but many issues arose. I left MU because the club’s plans did not align with mine.”
Another piece of news that disappointed MU fans is that Scott McTominay, according to SkySport Italia, has averaged 11,911 km per match in Serie A 2024/25, more than any other player. He is followed by Remo Feuler (Bologna – 11,742 km) and Gonsens (Fiorentina – 11,730 km). McTominay has been impressive since joining Napoli and has received praise from coach Conte, leaving MU fans still puzzled as to why Ten Hag decided to sell him.
