Good news for Barca fans as Dani Olmo has returned to training and may play this weekend.
The Spanish player sustained an injury in mid-September but has recovered earlier than expected. Olmo completed part of the training session with his teammates, unlike before when he was training alone. This session also marks the return of teams after the FIFA Days in October.
After more than a week sidelined due to a thigh injury sustained in the match against Girona on September 15, Olmo is back training with the squad. He has recovered alongside midfielder Fermin Lopez, who also resumed training with other team members on Monday after three weeks out due to a muscle injury.
Another piece of good news for the Cules is that midfielder Gavi is also set to make his return. He began training with the team in mid-September and is expected to come back after 11 months of recovering from a serious knee injury. This news is particularly exciting for coach Hansi Flick.
In the coming weeks, Barca’s schedule will be very demanding, with four matches in 13 days from October 20 to November 3. They will face Sevilla (October 20), Real Madrid in the El Clasico (October 26), Espanyol (November 3) in La Liga, and Bayern Munich (October 23) in the Champions League.
Thus, the German coach has also included midfielder Frenkie de Jong in the squad. Additionally, despite some fitness issues, forwards Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski have both returned to training with the full team this afternoon.
