Midfielder Bruno Fernandes has officially matched Cristiano Ronaldo’s contribution to goals for Manchester United in the Premier League.
In the Round 11 match of the 2024/25 Premier League season, Fernandes shone with 1 goal and 1 assist to help MU defeat Leicester 3-0.
With this achievement, Fernandes has now contributed to a total of 100 goals (56 goals, 44 assists) for Manchester United after 170 appearances in the Premier League, matching Ronaldo’s record, who achieved the same feat in 169 matches.
Notably, Fernandes reached this milestone in a match that was particularly special for him, as it marked his 250th appearance for the Red Devils since joining the club in 2020.
In all competitions, after 250 appearances, Fernandes has accumulated 83 goals and 73 assists. He is regarded as one of the most successful signings in the club’s history.
Since 2020, Bruno Fernandes has created at least 7 chances in a match 10 times in the Premier League, and all of these instances were by him. Although he hasn’t scored in 13 matches under Erik ten Hag this season, Fernandes scored 4 goals in 4 matches under interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Despite the 3 points, MU remains in 13th place in the standings with 15 points but has shown signs of improvement in results under the guidance of Van Nistelrooy.
