Barca has received good news regarding their star striker Robert Lewandowski. After having to withdraw from the Polish national team due to injury, Lewandowski’s condition has been confirmed as not too serious.
In Barca’s 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad in La Liga round 13 of the 2024/25 season, Lewandowski played the entire match but had a goal disallowed by VAR, which ruled him offside. After the game, he reported back pain to the Polish national team’s medical staff, which made walking difficult.
Following an examination, doctors confirmed Lewandowski would be unable to participate in Poland’s upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Portugal (16/11) and Scotland (19/11). Thus, he was allowed to return to Barca for recovery.
Fortunately, Lewandowski only requires around 10 days to recover, meaning he won’t miss any matches for Barca. When Barca faces Celta Vigo on November 24, Lewandowski will be ready to play. This is great news for Barca and coach Hansi Flick, as Lewandowski is currently leading the La Liga 2024/25 scoring chart with 19 goals in 17 games, showing exceptional form.
